Terms of Service

Last updated · 2026

Momentum is a personal productivity app — a single account holds tasks, calendar events, journal entries, habits, and notes. By using it you agree to the following.

1. What you can do

You can use Momentum to organize your own work — tasks, calendar, journals, habits, AI coaching. You can export your data at any time. You can stop using it at any time.

2. What you can't do

3. Your account

Login is either a Google account (whose email is on the allowlist) or a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret. If your account is misused because credentials leaked, that's on you — Momentum doesn't recover individual sessions.

4. AI features

The "Coach" sends summaries of your data (tasks, calendar, recent journal entries, habits) to a self-hosted AI model the maintainer runs. The model generates text suggestions. It can be wrong. Treat any AI-generated advice as a draft, not a directive. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

5. Availability

Best effort. The service may go down for maintenance, hosting issues, or the maintainer going on vacation. No uptime guarantees. If it's down for a long time, your local browser cache often still has read-only access to recent state until the next refresh.

6. Data loss

Data is stored in Cloudflare KV with integrity HMACs. We back up daily on a best-effort basis but no recovery is guaranteed. Export your data regularly (Settings → Export) if it matters.

7. Changes to these terms

If terms change in a way that affects you, you'll see a notice in-app. Continuing to use Momentum after the notice means you accept the new terms.

8. Liability

Momentum is provided "as is." The maintainer is not liable for missed deadlines, lost data, AI mistakes, or anything else that goes sideways because of using the app. You're using a personal productivity tool, not a load-bearing system.

9. Termination

The maintainer can suspend or close an account at any time, for any reason — though in practice this would only happen for abuse. You can delete your account by emailing the maintainer or wiping your data from the in-app Settings.

10. Contact

Questions? Bug reports? Email the address on the maintainer's site. Use plain English.

If you've read this far: thanks. Momentum is a personal-scale tool built by one person. These terms exist because legal frameworks expect them — but the actual relationship is simpler than the wording suggests.
